The Replication Data for: An Examination of the Relationship Between Residential and Commercial Development Inside and Outside the Central Transit Corridor from 1999-2021

The purpose of this paper is to examine the relationship between commercial and residential development inside and outside Kitchener-Waterloo’s Central transit corridor (CTC) between 1999 and 2021. KW is within the Greater Golden Horseshoe (GGH) and is home to a recently completed light rail project. The newly built CTC serves as an anchor point for development in the KW area. The purpose of this paper is not to find out why or why not a specific neighborhood is being developed but rather to show the relationship between different types of real estate inside and outside the CTC.
