We propose observations of new supernova remnant (SNR) candidates in the LargeMagellanic Cloud (LMC). Building on a successful campaign to observe candidateswith ROSAT detections we now propose observations of the lowest X-ray surfacebrightness SNR candidates which were found in the newest eROSITA data andconfirmed in multi-wavenlength observations. The high sensitivity of XMM-Newtonwill allow us to confirm SNRs at the faintest end of the X-ray luminosityfunction (XLF) and study their plasma properties and age as well as the ambientinterstellar medium (ISM).
