Snort 3 alert output from Cloud Telescope Dataset #3

This dataset contains the alert output (alerts.tsv) generated by replaying Cloud Telescope Dataset #3 through Snort 3 in offline mode using the registered ruleset (snapshot 31470). The dataset contains 200,300,195 alerts produced from 530,914,922 input packets, structured with five fields per alert: signature ID (sid), message (msg), classification (class), destination port (dst_port), and protocol (proto). The file is provided as a compressed TSV file (alerts.tsv.gz), approximately 100 MB compressed and 10.4 GB uncompressed. This dataset was produced as part of a bachelor project at Noroff University College titled "Evaluation of Snort as a mechanism to categorize Internet Background Radiation events" (2026).
