CTD data from the NBP 19/02 cruise as part of the NERC-NSF ITGC TARSAN project in the Amundsen Sea, campaign during austral summer 2018/2019.

TARSAN is a ship-based project funded by the International Thwaites Glacier Collaboration, a NERC and NSF partnership, studying how atmospheric and oceanic processes are influencing the behaviour of the Thwaites and Dotson Ice Shelves - neighbouring ice shelves which are behaving differently. This research will help identify how variations in atmospheric or oceanic conditions may influence the behaviour and stability of ice shelves in the region. This dataset presents 113 CTD cast data collected from the NBP 19/02 cruise in the Amundsen Sea, a campaign during austral summer 2018/2019. This dataset provides the CTD (conductivity [salinity], temperature, depth) data and auxiliary CTD data including, oxygen, fluorescence, transmission and PAR. The data supports data collected by gliders, ship-based surveys and autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs).
