资源简介:
The initial exit point (IEP) denotes the first location where the tool emerges from the underside of the workpiece during drilling, and this point substantially influences burr formation. The impact of the IEP on burr creation is particularly significant when the underside of the workpiece is not flat. The IEP, tool starting position (TIP), encompasses the tool's starting placement, workpiece thickness, feed rate, and spindle speed, all of which are highly adjustable. This study examined the impact of burr formation during the drilling of a B-spline free-form surface by mathematically modelling the tool's cutting edge tip using IEP. The suggested model was generated in the MATLAB environment and experimentally validated on a workpiece featuring a B-Spline surface. Consequently, by modifying the drilling parameters on freeform surfaces, burr development was regulated by IEP prediction. The trials revealed a 27.8% reduction in the burr between the tip and diameter edge.
