资源简介:

John O. Meusebach, German settler and founder of Fredericksburg, and Penatuka Comanche Chief Santanna share a peace pipe May 9, 1847 at the signing of the treaty between the People of Fredericksburg and the Comanche Nation. The standing Comanche represents more than 20 other chiefs also participating in the treaty. This treaty is the only known peace treaty with Native Americans in United States history thought never to be broken. The spirit of this treaty continues in Fredericksburg today. This bronze was presented to the City of Fredericksburg, Texas by the Fredericksburg 150th Anniversary Committee dedicated May 24, 1997. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
