DNA Barcoding Taiwan Eels and other fishes

This project is DNA Barcoding Taiwan Eels to investigate species boundaries. Many species of eels are considered to have wide geographic distributions (e.g. Atlantic and Pacific oceans). Recent DNA barcoding supports that some of these wide-ranging species may actually represent multiple, distinct species. This research is being conducted by David Smith and Ken Tighe, at the National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institution, and their collaborators.
