The seventh pandemic of cholera in Europe revisited by microbial genomics

This study report a whole-genome analysis of 1,324 7seventh pandemic Vibrio cholerae El Tor isolates, including 172 non travel-related European isolates collected between 1970 and 2011, providing us with unprecedented insight into the geographical and spatial spread of this pathogen across Europe.
