In this study, transcriptome and metabolome analyses of largemouth bass with different FCE were performed to unearth DEG and DM associated with FCE, and the molecular mechanisms regulating FCE were further resolved by joint analyses at the transcriptome and metabolome levels, so as to provide valuable reference information for the understanding of the regulatory mechanisms of FCE in fish and to provide theoretical basis for the selective breeding of largemouth bass with high FCE.
