The data is extracted and organized by the independent fipeX project to facilitate access to public automotive data. It is suitable for vehicle depreciation analysis, price prediction (machine learning), economic studies on the Brazilian automotive market, and creating query and analysis applications. The dataset offers two versions: the original version (using model names exactly as published by FIPE in each period) and the merged/consolidated version (unifying renamed models under the current name across all periods for easier price evolution tracking). Data is provided in CSV (tab-separated) and Parquet (columnar optimized format) formats, with 12 columns including vehicle type, FIPE code, model name, brand, fuel type, year, zero-kilometer status, price (in cents and formatted), and reference month and year. The dataset is updated monthly based on new tables released by FIPE.
