AM fungus increase the enzymes activity and gene expression of Vicia sativa involved in pathogen defense

Anthracnose, caused by Colletotrichum spp., is a severe plant disease worldwide that impacts many species including common vetch (Vicia sativa L.). Colletotrichum lentis was firstly reported among the pathogens that caused anthracnose in 2019 and now is a severe plant disease in China. We want provide insight into the mechanism by which AM fungus regulates the defense response of common vetch to C. lentis, and will serve as basis for further research on plant resistance against anthracnose.
