The LGBTQ+ Veterans Longitudinal Dataset

Thank you for your interest in using the LGBTQ+ Veterans Longitudinal Dataset (“LGBTQ Veterans Dataset”), published by researchers at Veterans Affairs (VA) Puget Sound Health Care System. The LGBTQ Veterans Dataset was generated from the Understanding Mental Health Problems and Health Risk Behaviors among LGBT Veterans (Lay Title: Health for Every Veteran Study). The Health for Every Veteran Study examined differences in mental health and health risk behaviors, healthcare utilization and satisfaction, and measurement-based care across sexual orientation and gender identity among US veterans. Veterans were recruited through targeted social media advertising, community organizations, and listservs to complete a series of four online surveys (N = 1,062 at baseline) over a 27-month timeframe (2019–2022). To gain access to this dataset, you must complete the LGBTQ Veterans Dataset - Project Goals document and email it to Drs. Tracy Simpson ([e-mail]) and Cory Cascalheira ([e-mail]).
