Speleothems samples were collected from Mawsmai cave, (25°18'00?N: 91°42'00?E), Meghalayan, India for isolation of bacterial species for CO2 sequestration, bioremediation and biovalorisation application. The cave was totally aphotic and has myriads of stalagmites and stalactites. Sampling was done in the month of September, 18, 2018 Further these selections were collected in sterile borosilicate glass vessel, labelled and transported on ice and stored at 4°C until analysis.
