B cell receptor sequencing of the Mechanisms of Progression of Atopic Dermatitis to Asthma in Children (MPAACH) cohort

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a common chronic inflammatory skin condition. This skin barrier dysfunction contributes to the inappropriate immune response seen in asthma and food allergy. Since B cell receptors (BCRs), particularly those of the IgE isotype, play a key role in allergic diseases, we sequenced the BCR pertiore in this cohort to study alterations in the repertoire and their association with AD and AD severity.
