Embryo hypermethylation in Brassica rapa

Brassica rapa mature embryos show CHH hypermethylation, and functional RdDM in the maternal sporophyte cannot restore wild-type levels of methylation in RdDM mutant embryos. Sequencing data are from dissected mature embryos in the Brassica rapa R-o-18 variety and dissected seed coat, endosperm and embryos from the torpedo stage in R-o-18 crossed with R500 (i.e. hybrid) variety. Data includes wild-type (all tissues), RdDM homozygous mutant embryos (mature embryo only) from homozygous and heterozygous mutant mother plants. Sequencing type is whole-genome bisulfite sequencing.
