In 2022, Guruvayoor, a town in the south Indian state of Kerala, saw approximately 1.4 million domestic tourist arrivals. This was a decrease in contrast to 2019, when the number of domestic tourist visits to Guruvayoor was the highest, totaling to more than two million. The pilgrimage town also has several other temples and religious sites, including Mammiyur Mahadeva Temple and St. Thomas Church. Historical sites such as the Bekal Fort, cultural festivals like Onam warranting boat races, and religious centers like the Sabarimala temple are just a few examples of the captivating experiences available to visitors.
