This study is aimed at characterizing the emergence of Pseudomonas aeruginosa strains in Bulgaria carrying IMP metallo-beta-lactamase genes. Additionally, we report a novel IMP metallo-beta-lactamase variant on a multidrug-resistant (MDR) plasmid coupled with chromosomally encoded VIM metallo-beta-lactamase.
