Suspended sediment time series data from Barataria Pass, Louisiana from 2018-02-18 to 2018-03-28

Water samples were collected every 3 hours using an automatic sampler (ISCO) positioned on the side of Barataria Pass (29°16'22.3"N 89°56'48.1"W), the major inlet of Barataria Bay, Louisiana from 2018-02-18 to 2018-03-28. Water samples were collected from 20-50 cm below the water surface. Samples were analyzed in the laboratory to determine the total suspended sediment (TSS) and loss on ignition (LOI), i.e. the organic content. This automated sampling allowed measurements of TSS and LOI during energetic events (i.e., cold fronts), during which manual field measurements are not possible.
