Tuberous root formation and expansion is a complex process in sweet potato,which regulated by multiple genes and environmental factors. However, little is known about the regulatory mechanism of tuberous root expansion. In this study, the transcriptome of fibrous roots and tuberous roots in three developmental stages were analyzed in two sweet potato varieties.
