Fibroadipogenic progenitor cells (FAPs) were isolated from immobilized and nonimmobilized muscles. The gene expression changes were then analyzed to see how FAPs could contribute to muscle atrophy. This data provides potential unexplored mechanisms to muscle atrophy as well as therapeutic targets.
