Isolated hybrid wood-ant population Formica aquilonia x F. lugubris in subarctic Finland (VCF file)

This dataset contains a VCF file (Variant Call Format file; whole-genome sequencing data) for one <i>Formica</i> sp. wood ant individual later determined morphologically as a hybrid between <i>Formica aquilonia</i> and <i>F.</i> <i>lugubris</i>, from Mt. Saana, Northern Finland. DNA extraction, library construction, whole-genome sequencing (Illumina NovaSeq S4: 2 × 150 bp), and genomic data preparation including SNP calling and VCF filtering were done alongside the samples published and according to the pipeline described in Satokangas &amp; al. (2023) (DOI: 10.1111/mec.16992). The pipeline is described also in the Materials and Methods section of the current publication (Järvinen &amp; al. 2025).FilesFile: 110_FaquH.vcf.gz<b>Description:</b> This VCF file contains filtered nuclear SNP data for one <i>Formica aquilonia</i> x <i>F. lugubris</i> individual. The genomic data preparation, including SNP calling and filtering, was done alongside the samples published and according to the pipeline described in Satokangas &amp; al. (2023). Hence, this VCF file can be used for analyses by merging it with the nuclear genomic VCF file "all_samples.DP8.hwe.AN10.mac2.noScaff0003.thin20kb.vcf.gz" at https://doi.org/10.5061/dryad.4f4qrfjhf.
