This dataset contains the processed molecular dynamics (MD) simulation data for the manuscript "[Mechanisms of abrupt changes in the starting torque of magnetic fluid seals induced by the microscopic magnetic field-induced chain structure]". It includes time-series data for shear stress and normal stress, as well as the derived yield stress values for a magnetic fluid under various magnetization strengths (50, 100, 286 kA/m) and particle volume fractions (3.25, 6.5, 13%). These data were used to create the simulation figures in the related manuscript.
Note:This dataset contains simulation data only. Experimental data on seal performance are not included.
