Hybrid shake table testing. The test specimen is a 2-story, 2-bay steel IMRF mounted on Triple Pendulum System (TPS) friction bearings.
The test specimen represents the top two stories of a larger structure. The response of the lower section is calculated and used as the input motion for the shake table, and the response of the test specimen is input back into the analysis of the lower section for the next time step.
