Clinical metagenomics reveals the characteristics of lung microbiota in pediatric pneumonia patients

neumonia is a leading cause of infant morbidity and mortality worldwide. Although previous research has identified dysbiosis in the respiratory microbiota in some infectious diseases, the role of lung microbiota in children with pneumonia of varied severity remains unclear. The objective of this study is to use next-generation sequencing technology in genomics for etiological diagnosis in children with pneumonia, as well as to explore the characteristics of the lung microbiota and their association with this disease.
