Abstract of the paper: This paper presents a mathematical model for the Group Educational Planning Problem, which is a scheduling problem that considers how stress affects the duration of an activity, depending on its position in the learning schedule. The mathematical model includes two functions based on the stress factor of each student and their scheduled position. The main contributions of this work are that, with the mathematical model we propose, we can now select and schedule activities for each student in a working group, taking into account the stress behavior of each individual and their learning capacities. Furthermore, the study explores scenarios in which each student's learning process can either benefit or hinder students in terms of the time required to complete an activity. The results demonstrate that the proposed model successfully generates balanced schedules by prioritizing periods when activity durations are shorter due to stress fluctuations. Additionally, the heuristic approach we adopted (terminating the solver at 300 seconds while maintaining a near-optimal solution) proved to be an effective trade-off between computational efficiency and practical feasibility. The findings reinforce the importance of adaptive scheduling in educational settings, where external stressors and individual learning capacities must be carefully balanced.
