资源简介:

Regional Ecosystems (Cover Codes) in the Brisbane City Council area. Regional ecosystems (RE's) are vegetation communities in a bioregion that are consistently associated with a particular combination of geology, landform and soil (Sattler and Williams 1999, Vegetation Management Act 1999). Vegetation Cover- Brisbane supports a range of different vegetation cover. These being Remnant and Non-remnant vegetation. Remnant vegetation is further split into regional ecosystems, whilst non-remnant is split into eight. Canal - man-made. Disturbed - predominantly thinned vegetation that no longer meets criteria for remnant vegetation on the basis of canopy cover. Exotic - vegetation dominated by exotic species. Native plantation e.g. Eucalyptus spp., mixed native cabinet timber species. Plantation - predominantly pine plantation (Pinus spp.) and hoop/bunya pine. Regrowth - vegetation that has been cleared and has regrown but still does not meet the criteria for remnant vegetation. Rehabilitation area - actively managed e.g. 2 Million Trees area. Water - anthropogenic water bodies. This dataset was derived from the Queensland Herbarium dataset Regional Ecosystems 2015.
