X-rar diffraction dataset of ironstones from the summit of Rio Grande Rise, Southwest Atlantic Ocean

The table contain X-ray diffraction (XRD) 2θ data of ironstone samples from Rio Grande Rise in the Southwest Atlantic Ocean. The XRD scans were performed using a Panalytical X’Pert3 Powder diffractometer with Cu-kα radiation and carbon monochromator at the United States Geological Survey, Pacific Coastal and Marine Science Center, Santa Cruz, California. Samples were drilled using a diamond-coated drill bit and the resultant powder aliquots were ground to approximately 75 µm using an agate mortar and pestle. The powder aliquots were mounted wet on zero-diffraction sample holders using alcohol and scanned from 4° to 70° 2θ at 40 kV and 45 mA. <br>
