Sequencing hepatitis B virus from chronic hepatitis B patients in different clinical status

In this project we aim to analyze the sequences of HBV genomes derived from chronic hepatitis B (CHB) patients consecutively and elucidate the virus-host interactions. HBV DNA isolated from serial serum samples of CHB patients during spontaneous and interferon-induced HBe antigen seroconversion was collected and analyzed. Our goal is to investigate the quasispecies nature and evolution of hepatitis B virus and the its impact on clinical outcomes.
