Klebsiella pneumoniae strain:colistin resistant from housflies | isolate:colistin resistant from housflies Genome sequencing

Klebsiella pneumoniae is gaining more global attention due to its resistance to most common antibiotics. Here, we isolated colistin resistant K. pneumoniae (Kp8701) from a housefly homogenate in Auburn, AL, USA. The bacterial isolate Kp8701 does not harbor any reported mcr genes. Additionally, the two-component regulator systems PmrAB and PhoPQ as well as MgrB, PhoPQ regulator, do not contain any amino acid substitutions.
