Stellar Activity Levels from X-Ray Observations of Super-Flare Solar-Analogs

From recent Kepler studies, superflares are identified in only a few slowlyrotating, solaranalogs. We obtained Xray followups of three of these starswith XMMNewton in October of 2016, which indicated two of the superflare starshave luminosities over 1000 times the Sun.s luminosity. The third stellarobservation suffered from high background flaring allowing us only to obtain anupper limit of the Xray flux. We request followup observations to constrainthe luminosity of the third star and establish the stellar activity cycles forthe first two to compare with the Sun.s solar cycle. truncated!, Please see actual data for full text [truncated!, Please see actual data for full text]
