Youth Climate Actions: China & NZ

This dataset contains data from a study examining the emotional and cognitive drivers of climate change mitigation willingness among young adults (aged 18–30) from two cultural contexts: a collectivistic country (China, N = 520) and an individualistic country (New Zealand, N = 514). The study investigates how emotions (experienced emotions, anticipatory emotions, and emotional affinity towards nature) and cognitions (biospheric values and self-efficacy) shape willingness to engage in high-impact climate mitigation behaviours in different cultural contexts. This dataset provides valuable insights into the cross-cultural differences in psychological factors related to climate change mitigation behaviours and may support further analyses in environmental and cross-cultural psychology.
