The Breathing Well Pneumonia Research (BWPR) cohort is a longitudinal study designed to track episodes of acute respiratory tract infections (ARTIs) in relatively healthy older adults. The initial dataset comprises 933 respiratory metagenomic samples, including 535 oropharyngeal swabs and 398 induced sputum samples, collected from participants at healthy baseline and during ARTI episodes.
