The raw strong motion data of 1999 Chi Chi Earthquake is obtained from the Central Weather Bureau (CWB), Taiwan. CWB has been instrumental in providing an extensive strong motion instrumentation program in Taiwan since 1996, providing the largest strong motion data set of 30,000 digital records from the Chi Chi Earthquake and its aftershocks. The processed and corrected files of 1999 Chi Chi Earthquake using “Energy Based Correction Method” are included as research data files here. All the algorithms described are implemented in the MATLAB programming environment (9.10.0.1739362, R2021a).
