To explore the transcriptome of the ipsilateral and contralateral dentate gyrus during the first 2-weeks of temporal lobe epileptogenesis. Wild-type C57BL/6J mice underwent unilateral intrahippocampal injection of kainate or saline. Dentate gyri were extracted 3-days, 7-days and 14-days after injection and processed for RNA-sequencing. Four 6-8 week-old wild-type C57BL/6J mice (2 male, 2 female) were included in each group (saline and kainate) at each time-point (3-days, 7-days, 14-days). Ipsilateral and contralateral dorsal dentate gyri were extracted from each mouse for RNA-sequencing.
