Combination of HDAC Inhibitor Sodium Butyrate and Immunotherapy in Glioma: regulation of immunologically hot and cold tumors via gut microbiota and metabolites

Studies have revealed significant roles of epigenetic processes in regulating immune cell function and mediating antitumour immunity. One promising strategy in clinical trials involves combining immune checkpoint inhibition with epigenetic therapy, which spans various cancer types. However, the application of such combination therapy to treat glioma has not been reported yet. In this research, the effect and underlying mechanism of combination of sodium butyrate and anti-mouse PD-1 mAb on glioma has been investigated.
