Population genetic structure and ecological differentiation in the bryozoan genus Reteporella across the Azores Archipelago (central North Atlantic)

Low coverage shot gun sequencing was conducted in one bryozoan colony of R. atlantica and one colony of Reteporella sp. 6, collected in the Azores Archipelago. These libraries were used for the search of microsatellite-loci and design of specific markers. Based on a dataset generated with the SSR-GBAS protocol, the study aims to detect understand the molecular mechanisms underlying the diversification and speciation of the bryozoan genus Reteporella Busk, 1884 in the remote Azores Archipelago.
