Sharp thermal contrast between Siberian and China-Mongolia Gobi Desert triggers regional dust emissions

This repository provides processed data supporting the study. It contains: Processed ERA5 and MERRA-2 reanalysis fields (2-m temperature, wind speed, sea level pressure, dust emission) Annual and composite daily anomaly time series Lag-correlation results and case-study datasets Co-occurrence statistics of High-ΔT and High-DE days Composite difference fields (High-ΔT and Low-ΔT) Observational sandstorm and PM10–PM2.5 data used for validation These datasets allow full reproduction of all figures and analyses in the manuscript (Figures 1–4 and supplementary figures). Original ERA5 and MERRA-2 data are not redistributed due to data policies and large file sizes. Users should download them directly from the official data providers. All files are provided in NetCDF (.nc), Excel (.xlsx), and CSV formats.
