Genome-wide SNP analysis to investigate substrate utilization in algae-boring amphipod (Eophliantidae)

The goal is to clarify the genetic relationships between populations of algae-boring amphipods of the family Eophliantidae that inhabit nests in two different brown algae: Undaria pinnatifida (Order Laminariales) and Sargassum siliquastrum (Order Fucales). Assuming that migration occurs between nearby algal hosts, we conducted sampling with consideration of the spatial arrangement of U. pinnatifida and S. siliquastrum at the study site. Amphipods were picked up from each host species, and their genetic differences were analyzed.
