Stomach microbiome analysis in C57BL/6J mice

The goal of this study is to investigate the host response to Candida albicans CHN1 colonization and invasion of the limiting ridge of the murine stomach. We compare the effect of C. albicans colonization alone, antibiotics (amoxicillin) alone, and amoxicillin treatment followed by C. albicans colonization on the gastric microbiota and mucosal responses in the limiting ridge. Our work provides insight into the molecular pathways involved in the response to localized hyphal invasion, and the role of the surrounding bacterial microbiota.
