Helicobacter pylori is associated with different gastrointestinal diseases. The development of gastrointestinal diseases might be related to the bacterial cagA genotype. It was shown that geographical variation in the frequency of various gastroduodenal pathologies may be associated with the diversity of H. pylori EPIYA patterns of CagA. This study aimed to evaluate the EPIYA motifs of CagA positive H. pylori isolated from patients with gastric disorders and correlate these patterns to the clinical status of the diseases in different geographical regions of Iran
