Supporting dataset for "Care Arrangement Decision-Making among People with Mild to Moderate Dementia-Adult Child Caregiver Dyads: Intention, Involvement, and Role of Intergenerational Relationship"

This is the dataset of Huanran Liu's thesis. This dataset contains the qualitative and quantitative raw data supporting a doctoral dissertation that investigates Shared Decision-Making (SDM) in dementia care arrangements within Chinese families. The overarching research project explores the dynamic interactions, power negotiations, and post-decision regret mitigation strategies between People with Dementia (PwDs) and their adult child caregivers.<br>The data files included in this repository consist of anonymized interview transcripts and survey raw data. Due to the highly sensitive and private nature of intergenerational family dynamics, cognitive decline, and caregiving stress, all personally identifiable information (PII) has been rigorously removed. The dataset provides essential methodological transparency and empirical support for the study's findings while strictly adhering to ethical guidelines regarding participant confidentiality.
