Raw and processed datasets from tomography of soil cores

This experiment utilised X-ray tomography to examine root distribution in soil cores from Australia. The aim of the project was to better understand the factors limiting root growth in Australian grain-producing soils with the aim of improving farmer productivity and profitability. The dataset was collected at The University of Queensland from 2019 to 2024. The collection includes raw versions of this data and versions which have been pre-processed for further analysis, such as root system architecture.
