Bacillus methylotrophicus strain IC4 was isolated from the rhizosphere soil sample of Capsicum annum from the Agriculture fields of Pirungut, India. It was observed to produce poly-?-glutamic acid (PGA) in fermentation medium supplemented with Mannitol and Mono Sodium Glutamate.
