Soil aggregates, as the basic unit of soil structure, are closely related to the physical and chemical properties of soil, soil microorganisms, and soil carbon fractions. Earlier studies on whole-soil measurements have not been able to explain the spatial location of soil carbon transformations, which is necessary to accurately understand the microorganisms involved in carbon transformations.
