Transcriptome profiling of Issatchenkia orientalis stains under low pH stress

Issatchenkia orientalis is a non-model yeast with a natural low pH stress tolerance that makes it an attractive chassis for the production of acidic bioproducts. However, the mechanisms underlying its acidity resistance are poorly understood, limiting its commercial use. In this study, we selected 12 I. orientalis strains with varying stress tolerance and collected their RNA-seq data under different pH conditions to comprehensively investigate the potential mechanisms of pH tolerance in this species.
