The overall aim was to get insights into cycling of amino acids in the clover rhizosphere, thus the specific objectives of this project were to elucidate temporal effects of a) clover plant on soil secondary metabolites and bacterial community structure, and thereby changes in amino acid quantities in soil, b) addition of clover flavonoids - formononetin and kaempferol - on bacterial community structure, and thus changes in amino acid cycling in soil.
