资源简介:
This dataset refers to Final Report of the ISP round 2 project number 135,
which has the name "A SOUTH AMERICAN NETWORK FOR THE MEASUREMENT OF ULTRAVIOLET
RADIATION". Since discovery of the "iozone holei" in Antarctica, monitoring of
long-term trends and geographical variability of UV irradiance and how it
impacts our environment has become increasingly important. A continuing
difficulty in judging these impacts is the lack of coordinated, world-wide UV
monitoring networks that produce results that can be compared at the level of
precision and accuracy needed to detect trends in irradiance that maybe or are
likely to be occurring. This project proposed to apply techniques in network
design, data processing, and calibration already developed to enable several
independent networks of instruments in South America to be linked together and
linked with networks in operation in other countries. To find out this project,
as well as its results, see the Final Report.
