Research data from: "Repurposing Underutilized Monitoring Data from Contaminated Sites for Sustainable Groundwater Characterization"

An aggregated geochemical dataset is collected from groundwater monitoring networks of multiple contaminated sites in the province of Ferrara (northeastern Italy). The initial "sample matrix" is treated through a standardized workflow in order to obtain two data matrices: an “anthropized” and a “natural” dataset representing, respectively, the actual composition of shallow groundwater incorporating both natural and anthropogenic signals, and the groundwater natural composition.
