ANU Poll 2011: Food Security

This poll is the eleventh in an ongoing series of polls being undertaken by the Australian National University. Their purpose is to assess Australians’ opinions on important and topical issues, with an emphasis on international comparisons. These surveys are planned to be conducted three times a year, or about every four months. Some questions appear in every poll in order to provide information about changes in opinion over time; the majority of questions appear in one poll only.

The main focus of this eleventh poll was to explore community attitudes to the consumption of food. It covers respondents’ consumption of food outside the home, attitudes to importation and to genetically modified foods, and their ability to access sufficient food.
