Perilla frutescens mitochondrial genome sequencing

Perilla citriodora, a widely cultivated plant in the Lamiaceae family, possesses a unique aroma and is commonly used as both a culinary herb and a medicinal plant. This study aims to annotate and assemble the mitochondrial genome of P. citriodora to enrich the omics data of Perilla and provide valuable insights for germplasm evaluation and variety selection.
